Rhys Washington (He/They), was born and raised in the small town of Wallingford, Connecticut. They first took to the stage when they were five and never looked back. They loved  having the ability  to shed all their problems and transform into somebody else and escape into new worlds. The rush of the theatre was so intoxicating they never wanted to let it go.

 

They first fell in love with writing during their freshman year of high school and taught themself how to write for stage and screen. This led them to start working on their very first pilot script (No you can't see it!) Now they try to write every day regardless of the circumstance whether it is a play, a tv show, or a feature, their head is full of so many ideas, I just have to dive right in, and they are always carrying a journal just in case some idea comes into their mind.

They continued their education at a little institution in upstate New York called Ithaca College,  receiving a BFA in Writing for Film, Television, and Emerging Media with a minor in theatre. They currently work at NBC with the Dateline as a program coodinator.
